Astrologer and life coach Virginia Gambetta didn’t always see herself reading birth charts. She began her career as an interior designer, but a deep spiritual curiosity led her down a different path — one that eventually became her true calling. Now, she helps people rediscover themselves through astrology, blending ancient wisdom with modern insight. In this conversation with ‘Humans of Mallorca’, she shares her journey, the power of astrology, and her vision for making it a more immersive and transformative experience.
Where were you born, and what was your early life like?
I was born in a small village in the north of Argentina. My parents, José Luis and Mónica, are both lawyers, so they probably still wonder how I ended up becoming an astrologer! But they gave me so much — love, care, and most importantly, the freedom to find my own path. I wanted to have three different professions and juggle all of them in a single day — very Gemini of me! (Though my time management wasn’t exactly realistic!) Anyway, I live in Palma now. For me, it’s the blend of nature, great weather, and a vibrant international community that makes living in Palma so special.
How did you find your way to astrology?
In my 20s, I had what I’d call a deep spiritual curiosity. I explored many different practices until, by chance, I found myself in an astrologer’s home, where I came across a book by Eugenio Carutti — who would later become my teacher. From that moment on, I knew I had found something life-changing.
I completed several training programs in astrology, including one at Casa XI, a school led by Carutti, one of the most respected figures in the field. I later pursued specializations and also trained as a coach at Newfield Network. I’ve now been doing astrology readings for about nine years.
What is it about astrology that captivates you?
Doing astral readings is one of the greatest satisfactions in my life. I’ve witnessed how consultants re-discover themselves, find answers, and experience profound relief. By understanding their energetic DNA, people are able to open new paths forward. Good astrology brings ownership and power.
What kinds of problems do people bring to you?
Everything from very specific concerns to full-blown crises, but also simple curiosity and the desire for deeper self-knowledge.
What is the most fulfilling part of your work?
There are many aspects I love, but the most rewarding is witnessing people’s evolution — how they grow, shift perspectives, and embrace their own journey.
What does a typical day look like for you?
The structure changes, but I mostly conduct online sessions, so I spend a lot of time at the computer. Before each session, I study the chart in depth. I’m also constantly exploring new ways to share astrology. When I’m not working, I spend time with loved ones and connect with nature.
Do you remember your first professional success?
Probably my first interview in the local newspaper. My grandmother still keeps the clippings.
What challenges did you face in making astrology your profession?
At first, I had to accept that I truly loved astrology and wanted to pursue it professionally — especially since I originally trained as an interior designer. Then, I had to overcome societal skepticism. People can be quick to judge astrology, which made it difficult to take that step. But I stayed true to my passion, and eventually, I turned it into my profession.

What’s next for you?
I love blending astrology with different creative and sensory experiences, like wine, art, and yoga. I’m currently developing immersive experiences that allow people to explore astrology through sensation, connection, and discovery.
