Ann has had one foot in Mallorca all her life. Her father was a native who met her mum while he was working in a Mallorquin bar, and she was on holiday. The rest is history in their family life, and Mum and Dad had a pact. They would live their working lives in Birmingham and return to Mallorca in retirement. In the meantime, their children would be sent ‘home’ for the holidays every year to stay with extended family. This was Ann’s life, and she certainly impressed all her teachers back in the UK with her bi-lingual ability.
Decision time came when Mum and Dad left Birmingham to head for the Northwest of Mallorca, which was now to become home. Little did they know that another move was being planned and on the cards. In the end a three generational move happened, as Ann and her family also made the leap of faith. It was Mallorca for them too.
What a difference over twenty years have made. Ann is enjoying a career with TUI and has thrived in the corporate tourism world, for the past eight years. Ann lives her family life here and has always known this place. The beauty of the Tramuntana, the traditions and village life are just what she expects, it is all part of her soul. She is not a tourist in her own country. She takes pride in her work assisting travellers in their journey and experience here, but she sees the world through the eyes of a local.
Ann lives, works, has a family life plus generations of local people who are her extended tribe. Being a ‘Brummie’ is important to her and is part of her DNA. The combination of the two forces has made her the person she is today – an exceptional Human of Mallorca with a lot to say.
